Padel Racket Wall Holder

A copy of the AliExpress bracket, rebuilt from its product video and listed size. The racket slides in from above with its face to the wall. The tapered part of the head rests on the two slanted arms, the front lips stop it tipping forward, and the handle hangs down through the gap.

Mounting with tape

  1. Use thick foam mounting tape such as 3M VHB 5952 or 4941 (about 1 mm thick), or Tesa Powerbond. The foam fills the faint layer lines on the printed back. Thin double-sided tape won't do this.
  2. Wipe the back of the holder and the wall with isopropyl alcohol and let them dry. A light sanding of the back with 240 grit helps too.
  3. Lay tape strips side by side over the whole back plate. That's about 80 cm² of tape.
  4. Draw a level line. Press the holder on with the wide end at the top and the tape tab at the bottom, then press hard over the whole plate for 30 s.
  5. Wait 24 h before you hang the racket. The bond reaches full strength after about 72 h.
  6. To take the racket out, lift it straight up. Don't pull it forward.

Tape holds well on tile, glass, wood, metal and smooth paint in good condition. Avoid textured plaster, wallpaper, paint less than 2 weeks old, and flaking paint: the tape will hold, but the paint can come off the wall with it. Apply it in a room above 15 °C.

Changing the size

W = 145Inner width at the top (155 mm outside)
ALPHA = 37°Side slant from vertical, which makes the bottom about 100 mm wide inside. Keep it at 45° or less so it still prints without supports.
GAP = 42Room for the racket's thickness (50 mm deep outside)
LIP = 22How far the front lips reach over the racket face
H = 30Bracket height
TAB = 25Extra back plate below the bracket for tape. Set it to 0 for the original look.
SCREWS = FalseSet it to True to add two countersunk screw holes

If the racket head sits too high or too low in the V, change W or ALPHA and rebuild. A narrow, diamond-shaped head needs a smaller W.
